Last Minute Halloween Dessert

My friends and I have been planning a little Halloween party for our kids since trick or treating has already been rained out once. I usually bring a dessert to these types of things.

It had to be cute, it had to be easy, and it had to be something my kids would eat.

Everything I looked at on Pinterest for "Halloween Dessert" looked crazy.

Crazy hard or crazy involved.

And I know my limits on crazy - remember, I live in a house with 3 kids, two cats, one dog and a partridge in a pear tree.

So when this idea slid across my screen, I knew it was right up my alley.

Quick, easy, and perfect for last minute do-ers like me.

Graveyard Brownies

Start with a box of brownie mix, a bag of Milano cookies (if you can resist eating them all first), some green icing and some black icing.

1. Bake the brownies according to the instructions.

2. While they're baking, use the black icing to decorate the Milano cookies. There's not much room to write and epitaph, so a simple R.I.P works fine.

3. When the brownies are finishing baking and cooling, insert your cookies into the top end of the brownie.

4. Use the green icing to decorate some grass. If you have any fall themed candy, like those little brachs pumpkins, this would be a great place to stick them.

And that's it! So easy even I can manage it.

Happy Halloween!
