about me
After graduating of Temple University’s Film & Media Arts program, I began my storytelling journey at the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women, collaborating with Mary Ann Kellogg and Laurie Seidman (CBS' Medium).
I spent more than a decade in marketing and advertising creating emotional connections for memorable brands such as Comcast, Jameson, Abott Nutrition, and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg across the radio, television, and social media landscape.
I then studied screenwriting under the private mentorship of Donald Hewitt (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle). My short films have won awards for best directing and best marketing while my feature DEPENDA[BLE] has been recognized by HollyShorts, the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, Shore Scripts, Stage32, Emerging Screenwriters and the Joan A. Bressler Set in Philadelphia Screenwriting Competition.
Outside of my creative ventures, I'm an army wife, a boy mom (x3), and pro-wrestling enthusiast (yes, you read that correctly).
"Most of all, I believe Rachel has delivered a gripping story, with loving empathy that truly brings to life the story of a modern military family. I give Rachel and her screenplay, DEPENDA[BLE], my highest recommendation."
